Dear Prospective Supporter,
On December 15, 2020, Bryan Rosica was diagnosed with ALS. ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) is a rapidly progressive, neurodegenerative disease, with no known cure at this time. In the wake of this devastating diagnosis, the Rosica family remains incredibly positive and hopeful. “Knight Out for Bryan” will serve to support and surround them with the love and resources they will need to celebrate their time together today, while planning for the difficult road ahead.
Bryan grew up in Bucks County and has been a Teacher and Guidance Counselor at Buckingham Elementary School in the Central Bucks School District for 26 years. He has three amazing children and has been married to his beautiful wife Lisa for 23 years. Bryan has dedicated his life to being a loving father, husband, and active member of the community.
As a school guidance counselor, Bryan spends much of his time connecting with families and being immersed in the fabric of the community. He has been blessed with the unique opportunity to build lasting relationships with hundreds of Buckingham families. In his first year as a counselor, Bryan designed the character education program still utilized at Buckingham Elementary, and coined the phrase, “Home of the Mighty Knights!”
In the inaugural year of the Bucks County Positive Coaching Alliance Award, Bryan was the first coach to be recognized for his dedication and positive influence in the Buckingham United Soccer Club. The intent of the program was to honor a deserving coach who served as a positive role model, understood the importance of a child’s well-being, and was a positive influence in the lives of young people. Bryan exemplified the attributes upon which the award was established. Bryan not only gave ten years of his time and energy to these boys but became an important role model in all their lives. He taught them the value of teamwork, respect, sportsmanship, and the passion to compete.
“Knight Out for Bryan” will be held at Bishop’s Winery in Perkasie, Pa. We are raising money with ticket sales, sponsorships, and a silent auction at this once-a-year event. Our mission is to meet immediate family needs and raise money to prepare for future expenses, such as necessary home modifications, assistive technology, ambulatory devices, home nursing care, etc. In-home care alone can run in excess of $200,000 per year and is not covered by insurance.
We are asking members of the community to provide a sponsorship or donated item for the silent auction. 100% of your donations and funds raised will go toward the Bryan Rosica Family Irrevocable Trust.
We deeply appreciate anything you can do to help make “Knight Out for Bryan” a huge success. We welcome any and all support!
With Appreciation,
Chuck Lang
