Our friends and family never cease to amaze us. You continue to show up in little & big ways ALL the time. We are humbled by the incredible fundraisers and generosity that continue to bless us. Bryan also loved reading all of the notes & cards he received for his birthday and we had a special day celebrating him. We spent time with family and ended the night with a bang! An unbelievable fireworks display, courtesy of Suzanne Olney Dailey and Pat Dailey! Representative Brian Fitzpatrick even stopped by to present Bryan with a flag that flew over the Capitol building! Bryan definitely felt the love on his special day.

We had two awesome events this past week! Last Friday, Buckingham Elementary had it's annual Fun Run/Ice Bucket Challenge/Assembly in honor of Bryan. It was an incredible morning with lots of fun and memorable moments. One of the best was when Bryan got out of the van and the kids started gathering around and clapping and cheering for him. They also started a Bryan Rosica Noblest Knight Award and Mighty Knight Awards for Buckingham students. It was such a special morning.

Then Monday night was ALS Awareness night at the Phillies. Thank you to everyone that came out to support us and to everyone involved in this event for bringing together patients, families, doctors, advocates, etc, to be together while spreading awareness about ALS.

We are beyond blessed with the support system and love shown our family!

Today Bryan had a program installed on his communication device that lets him drive his wheelchair and adjust settings with his EYES!

This will give him more independence in a lot of ways. He's been showing off and driving all over the house. 😂

We are so thankful to have access to such amazing technology!

Bryan and Lisa are so thankful for all of the events, fundraisers, visits, meals, cards, texts, etc. from family and friends. It is such an encouragement to them and is such a blessing in the midst of this trying time.

They have been so blessed by all of the awareness about ALS being shared through different events.

All of the amazing fundraisers have allowed them to make needed purchases, like their first floor home renovation and modifications, mobility van, power wheelchair, upcoming home nursing needs, and eye gaze technology that allows Bryan to communicate with his eyes. (pictures coming soon)

Here are some specific prayer requests:

~They have an upcoming trip to OBX. Although it is difficult for Bryan to travel, they are praying for special family time together.

~Please pray that Bryan’s breathing remains strong and that his levels do not continue to decrease.

~Pray for the kids, as they adjust to all of the changes. Pray for sweet, quality time for them together.

~Pray for strength for all of them to remain positive and hopeful and to trust in God’s plan.

It is a privileged to walk alongside them as friends and family, loving them, praying for them and holding them up when they feel like they can’t! Thank you everyone!!

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

We thought we would give you a brief update on Bryan & our family. Although Bryan’s ALS continues to progress, his breathing remains strong and his swallowing is good, so he is eating a ton, which is helping him to maintain his weight (thanks to ALL of the help with the yummy meals!)

The Trial ended in October and then he started the “active drug,” (we think he was probably on the placebo during the trial). He feels like the active drug helped delay progression with his speech, at least for a couple months. At our next appointment at Jefferson, we anticipate discussing potential assistive communication devices.

Bryan also started another medication that he gets through daily, hour long, infusions. We are fortunate that we are able to do them at home. He’s a trooper, as usual, and I’m stepping out of my comfort zone to administer them to him!

Mobility has been more difficult for Bryan this month, so we started the home renovation to move our bedroom downstairs and convert our powder room/laundry room into an accessible shower & bathroom. Additionally, he is starting to use a cane and/or a push walker when traveling out of the house.

Bryan continues to remain upbeat and positive and focused on the things he CAN do, as opposed to what he can’t do. We are also looking forward to a family vacation (Tybee Island, GA) over Christmas break and spending some quality time with just the 5 of us together.

God continues to bless us in so many ways. Thank you for all of the continued prayers, support and love. We feel it and it is so comforting and uplifting to us. We will continue to keep you updated and informed.

Love to you all! XO

Hi All! What a privilege it is to be praying for Bryan, Lisa and the kids as they walk this difficult road they are on. I know they are so grateful for the love and support they have surrounding them.

Through the challenges they continue to see the goodness of the Lord. They are so grateful that they have been able to spend some time as a family at the beach and they were also able to go to the Yankee Stadium for Lou Gehrig day! They are all so excited about their upcoming trip out West to see the national parks and for time together building memories this summer.

Bryan will be going on medical leave as of June 15 to spend time taking care of his health as well as spending more time with family.

Also, huge praise, Lisa was able to get a half time position at school (kindergarten) so she will be more available for Bryan to go with him to appointments, etc and will also get to spend more time with him.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6

What a privilege it is to bring our requests to the Lord in prayer! Here are some request that we can be lifting up in prayer.

Pray for safety as they travel out West as well as pray for a sweet time together as a family!

Bryan has seen some progression in the disease so pray that it slows down! Ultimately let’s continue to pray for COMPLETE healing!! We serve a God that is more than able.

Pray for the kids that they remain strong and feel supported as well as pray that they all stay positive and hopeful and continue to lean on Jesus.

Bryan has not seen any positive results from the medical trial yet but he knows that ultimately it’s God who is going to heal him if it’s His will.

Now to Him who is ABLE to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen" (Eph. 3:20-21).

Let us pray that the Rosica family will find their refuge and strength in the Lord!

God is our refuge and strength,

A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear,

Even though the earth be removed,

And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Psalm 46:1-3.

Bryan got his first dose today for the medical trial! 🙏🏻❤️ The clinical trial team at Jefferson has been amazing. We are very thankful that Bryan is able to be a part of this.

Hello Everyone! Good news is always fun to share! We would like to use it to ask you to keep joining us all in prayer! For those of you who are praying for Bryan, we asked you to pray specifically for the unusual high white blood cell count to come down. Well, guess what? The doctors were able to pinpoint the reason for it being traced to a particular supplement he was taking! Now that he's been off it, his levels are back to normal and he will be going back to Jefferson on April 8 to start the rescreening process again for the trial. We are praising God for steps in the right direction and asking the Lord to move on behalf of Bryan being able to be a part of this trial. Please continue to pray for the Rosicas through all of this. They are so thankful to have so many prayer warriors out there! Let's keep it going! Psalm 107:1 "Give thanks to the Lord for He is good; His love endures forever."

And we are off! First RV trip! 😬🤪🚍🗺 Heading to Virginia Beach & OBX!

Dear friends and family,

We want to thank each one of you from the bottom of our hearts for all the love and support you have shown our family over the last month. We are praying for wisdom and perseverance and for God to allow us to see this trial through His eyes. We know God will do great things throughout this next chapter of our lives, and we continue to pray for a miracle. We know you are also praying for this, and your strength is helping to fuel our positive energy.

Bryan is currently working with a team that specializes in ALS at the University of Pennsylvania to help guide his treatment and assess his needs (nutritional, speech, occupational therapy, physical therapy, genetics counseling, etc.). The team at Penn has been amazing and he is actively pursuing the potential to participate in a clinical trial (at various hospitals in PA and MA). He exercises every day to help maintain his strength and health and continues to be very active with his children and friends. The Central Bucks School District has been incredibly supportive and is allowing Bryan to continue his work as the Counselor at Buckingham, with accommodations.

We have met some incredible families that have been impacted by ALS, who continue to help guide us and hold our hand. The fellow ALS pals that we have come to know are some of the most inspirational people we have ever met. We are thankful that God has brought them into our lives.

We will be using this Facebook page to post updates about Bryan’s progress, make announcements, and share family news. Your support, prayers, and love along the way are an immeasurable gift to our family during this journey.

With Love,

Bryan and Lisa
